It’s the place where we conduct our most intimate relationships.

For thousands of years, writers, philosophers, poets and virtually anyone else who has anything to say has been making a comment or two on their idea of home.
“What is more agreeable than one’s home?” - Cicero
“There is nothing like staying home for real comfort.” - Jane Austen
To discover how “home” is so much more than just a physical thing, close your eyes and imagine you’re back in your childhood home. Take a tour of each room and try to remember as much as you can about each room and take note of any feelings and memories that are sparked along the way.

You may be surprised to discover that, along with the physical description of the place,
plenty of emotional memories will have been stirred up – perhaps observations about
family relationships, anecdotes of childhood incidents and reminiscences about your own feelings at the time. We set this little exercise as a reminder to you just how important the concept of “home” is and how meaningful it is to all of us.
